Our Reuse service is the ideal we strive towards - it is the most circular solution for redundant IT. Our IT Reuse service creates the most benefit for you and your organisation. The value from reusing IT equipment is great for your budget and ESG scores - providing financial, environmental and social benefits, all whilst maintaining absolute security. (If Reuse is not possible then we Recycle meaning nothing we process goes to landfill!)

Secure Data Protection

This is built-in as standard across all ICEX services. We know how sensitive and mission-critical protecting data is for IT departments. Including secure handling, transportation, data erasure/destruction, processing, etc.

Requirements Gathering

Our Operations Team assesses your requirements for IT Asset Reuse or Recycling.

IT Assets Audit

We can use your existing asset register or create one. From here we can determine whether a device is able to be revived for Reuse or if it needs to be recycled, as parts don’t work or the hard drive is locked*.

IT Asset Tagging

We tag the assets we are processing for secure end-to-end asset tracking.

*Unlock Keys

We gather the required information to unlock and remove IT assets from Company Managed Enrolment Programs and remove Cloud and BIOS locks to minimise waste (without enrolment removal and unlock keys, IT Assets can only be Recycled, not Reused).

Secure Data Erasure - using software

We erase data so assets are ready for Reuse. We adhere to internationally accredited standards, such as the UK Government’s HMG Infosec 5 Higher Standard, for the protection of your organisation, your people and your clients. We can also carry out data destruction - physical shredding - (which prevents reuse of the hard drive) upon your request.

Decommissioning

If required, we safely disconnect systems from networks and then securely pack them for transport. Including Desktops, Laptops, Servers, Networking.

Secure IT Moving

Your IT assets are transported in GPS-tracked vehicles by our accredited IT team who are cleared for employment with background checks by our external accreditation agency.

Recommissioning

If required, we install the IT assets for your organisation to use again (in a new location if required). We provide a seamless experience for users. If needed, we can also do Computer Imaging (OS, applications and settings), bespoke for each department or user type in your organisation.

Repurposing - a special mention

Repurposing is a specific type of reuse where something is revived to be reused in a new context. For example a device going from running simulations to being used as a PC for day-to-day admin tasks etc.

Bridging the Digital Divide

IT assets that can be revived for Reuse can be used by someone for a fraction of the cost of buying new. Or, alternately if you prefer the devices can be donated to a charity of your choice - we also have a charity of the year we can donate to on your behalf. This helps devices get to work for society and those most in need of technology.

Certification

When you use our Reuse or Recycle (or both) services we provide you with certification of the job completed. This means you can prove your commitment to carbon reduction through the sustainable handling of your redundant/old/unused IT equipment.
