Everyday we tell our clients how we are ISO certified and we have GPS in our vans, our staff are DBS checked and most importantly we are ADISA accredited who are NCSC. Many people still wonder what our company name even stands for. Well, ICEX started out as the International Computer EXchange, and just as Kentucky Fried Chicken became KFC, the snappier ICEX was born, with the aim of being strong players in the IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) industry.
Founded in 1947, with the evolution of International business, the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) came up with the idea of common industry standards across businesses and borders. With over 20,000 standards having been set, it enables comparisons between different markets and safeguards consumers by setting minimum standards across all areas from manufacturing to farming.
Many people use the Global Positioning System on their phones in the same way as we at ICEX use it on our vehicles, we can track your data from the collection to the delivery at our unit, which also has CCTV in the processing areas, but that’s ok because are staff have all been through a Disclosure and Baring Service background check.
The Asset and Disposal Information Security Alliance was set up to create a standard of security and service across the industry. By signing up, we have been inspected for our security across all areas of our business and have had our paperwork and reporting stress tested and reviewed. The National Cyber Security Centre was set up by the Government to provide advice and support to both the public and private sectors. It is also part of another acronym, GCHQ. NCSC also recognise the industry standards body ADISA, providing further proof an ADISA member is a good choice of IT disposal partner.
So, this is us signing off from ICEX, ADISA members recognised by the NCSC, holders of ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001 (Data Security), providing a secure ITAD service with our DBS cleared staff and CCTV covered processing areas, plus GPS tracked vehicles.
