1.
Environmental Protection Act 1990 & Environment
Act 1995
Existing legislation places a Duty of Care on organisations
to ensure that wastes produced are consigned to
registered carriers and properly disposed of at
licensed facilities. ICEX not only demonstrates
this but also audits their key suppliers and waste
processors to verify the quality of supply chain
partners in accord with our registration to the
International Quality Standard.

2.
Health & Safety At Work. Etc. Act 1984 &
Electricity Act 1989 Safety Regulations
Electrical equipment needs to be tested for safety
in accordance with the Electricity Act 1989 Safety
Regulations ICEX use calibrated electrical test
equipment and certificated processes to ensure computer
equipment is safe to reuse, protecting our employees
and future users.

3.
Data Protection Acts 1998
Organisations have a Duty of Care obligation to
take all reasonable steps to ensure data they hold
is not released in an unauthorised or accidental
way. This applies to all storage media, including
Hard Disc Drives in PCs. ICEX deletes all data using
the purpose designed Dataeraser system, which overwrites
all data. Faulty drives are disabled prior to destructive
shredding for material recycling. All equipment
weather working or non-working will pass through
data deletion prior to disposal. Magnetic media
tapes are incinerated to guarantee destruction.

4. Software Operating Licences
Software is usually supplied under licences that
specifically prohibit resale rendering
users who sell such software liable to prosecution
under civil law.ICEX deletes system software protecting
clients from fines and embarrassing bad publicity.
